• The Government of Canada is committed to promoting and investing in innovative projects that help Canadian children get the best start in life and have a fair chance to succeed. We have launched a call for proposals for innovative projects that foster cutting-edge practices in early learning and child care across Canada. Priority will be given to projects that address the needs of families through the next phase of recovery from the pandemic. Consideration will be given to projects that also address affordability, flexibility, accessibility and inclusivity. Project proposals can be local, regional or national in scope and must target early learning and child care for children under six. I encourage eligible organizations that are interested in receiving federal funding through the Early Learning and Child Care Innovation Program to consult the applicant guide. The guide provides more information on eligibility and the steps to submit a proposal online, by email or by mail. The deadline to submit a proposal is December 3, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Virtual information sessions in both official languages will be offered on November 12 and 17 to help organizations apply.  Interested organizations must send an email to the email address below with their with their preferred official language and any request for accommodations. Read the announcement and share this exciting opportunity with your colleagues and networks.
